Second-year cornerback Marlon Humphrey, who played a significant role as a backup and in nickel situations last season, is expected to take on a more expanded role this season with veteran Jimmy Smith suspended by the league for the first four games. The Ravens return most of their backfield that helped the team lead the NFL with 22 interceptions last season.
