An 81-year-old man died Monday in a car crash in Baltimore County, after the car he was riding in crossed a double yellow line and collided with another vehicle, police said. Ronald Gross, of the 1800 block of N. Fulton Ave., was riding around 5 p.m. in a 2009 Toyota Corolla traveling west on Windsor Mill Road when the driver crossed over the line and collided with a 2005 Chevrolet Impala traveling east, Baltimore County police said. Gross was taken to an area hospital and pronounced dead at 11:20 p.m. The driver of the Toyota, whom police have not identified, one other passenger and the driver of the Chevrolet were also taken to area hospitals for treatment, police said. first reported in July, agency spokesman John Schofield confirmed Tuesday. The inside and outside of the building have been treated seven times, including with a steam vacuum and spot treatments of affected areas, he said. “We take this situation very seriously and, with the pest control company, are offering optional free home inspections for all the 80 employees who work in the affected section of the one building,” Schofield said in a statement. After privacy concerns were raised, the agency held a meeting Tuesday with those employees “to clarify that the home inspections are not mandatory,” the spokesman said, but urged them to accept the offer to “identify how the fleas are getting back into the building despite treatments.” “We value our employees’ well-being and we are determined to work collectively to solve this problem,” Schofield said in a statement.
