Karlar Farley, Kenwood, football

-

The senior slot receiver led the Bluebirds to one of the biggest wins in program history Friday, a 38-37 win over Hereford. Farley finished the game with 310 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns as the Bluebirds (3-0) topped the Bulls for the first time in at least 25 years. They need just one more win to match last season’s total. In a back-and-forth game on the road, Farley’s 51-yard touchdown on a jet sweep tied the game at 37 with 1:30 left before Noah Dell added the extra point and a strong defensive stand sealed the win. Farley ran six times for 101 yards with one touchdown, had a 95-yard kick return for a touchdown and caught five passes for 114 yards. He also played linebacker. For the season, he has accumulated 506 all-purpose yards — 231 receiving, 180 rushing and 95 returning — with five touchdowns. Farley also wrestles and plays lacrosse for the Bluebirds.
