Motorists must learn to drive around pedestrians
I completely agree with The Baltimore Sun editorial, “Can you drive 25?” (Sept. 19). However, I have some other thoughts: At least the city recognizes one of many problems and is doing something.
Roland Avenue recently put in speed cameras and is handing out tickets. This change has made a great difference in the driving experience. One novel idea in changing motorist driving behavior: Use the public airways to educate motorists to change their habits, not just once and say we tried it, but regularly, like they air commercials for Liberty Mutual, Domino’s Pizza, GEICO, Len the Plumber, lawyer ads, medication ads, etc, etc.
The commercial advertisers wouldn’t air these ads regularly if it didn’t work.
