Garrison Clark, Severna Park, cross country

The senior won the Elite Boys race at the Bull Run Invitational Saturday at Hereford High School in 15 minutes, 52.2 seconds, and was the only runner in any of the varsity races to finish the challenging, hilly 3-mile course in under16 minutes. Clark ran more than 17 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher. Clark also led the No. 1 Falcons, the defending Class 4A state champions, to the team title. An All-Metro first-team selection last fall, he finished second in the state Class 4A meet at Hereford and he cut more than five seconds off his time in winning the Bull Run. Clark, a second-team All-Metro selection in indoor track last season, is considering running for Army or Navy.
