Rockies: The playoff-bound Rockies are headed to Los Angeles for a tiebreaking game to decide the NL West title after routing the visiting Nationals 12-0 behind Charlie Blackmon’s first career cycle. The Rockies, who are vying for their first division title, won for the ninth time in 10 games. Nolan Arenado hit two of the Rockies’ five HRs. Trevor Story also went deep, and David Dahl homered for the sixth time in seven games. Blackmon tripled in the first, homered in the third, singled in the fifth and doubled in the eighth. LHP Tyler Anderson (7-9) scattered four hits over 72⁄ innings. RHP German Marquez (14-10) will start Monday against the Dodgers.

Cubs: Anthony Rizzo had four hits and scored three times, and the Cubs set up a tiebreaker game for the NLCentral title by beating the Cardinals 10-5 in Chicago. Shortly after the Brewers beat the Tigers, LHP Jorge De La Rosa worked a hitless ninth to move the Cubs back into a tie with the Brewers. The Cubs will host the Brewers on Monday afternoon. The winner at Wrigley gets a spot in the NLDS and home-field advantage throughout the NL playoffs. The loser plays Tuesday night in the wildcard game. Down 2-0 to the Cards and with two outs in the third, the Cubs scored four times to take the lead for good. They added four more runs in the fifth.

Brewers: Triple Crown contender Christian Yelich and the Brewers routed the visiting Tigers 11-0 for their seventh win in a row, earning a spot in Monday’s NL Central tiebreaker. Yelich is hitting .323, giving him a huge lead in the batting race. He has 109 RBIs, two behind leader Javier Baez of the Cubs. Yelich’s 36 HRs are tied with the Rockies’ Trevor Story and Cardinals’ Matt Carpenter and one behind Nolan Arenado of the Rockies. Yelich’s stats — and those of Arenado, Baez and Story — from Monday’s tiebreaker game will count in the totals. The last NL player to win the Triple Crown was Joe Medwick in 1937 for the Cardinals.
