Stevenson goalie Stellitano is D-III Player of Week

Matt Stellitano, a freshman goalkeeper for Stevenson, was named the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer Player of the Week. He had a pair of wins and made 15 saves during 184 minutes. WOMEN’S SOCCER: St. Mary’s claimed both of the Capital Athletic Conference Player of the Week awards. Sophomore Alex Moody was named Offensive Player of the Week honor while senior captain Katie Flores (Towson) earned the Defensive Player of the Week award. CROSS COUNTRY: Salisbury senior Conner Masteran ( North Carroll) was named the Capital Athletic Conference Men’s Runner of the Week and Sea Gulls junior Ashley Mazer (Centennial) was named the CAC Women’s Runner of the Week for their performances at the Don Cathcart Invitational on Saturday. WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: Maryland coach Brenda Frese announced two promotions and the addition of a new member to her staff. Director of scouting and player development Kaitlynn Fratz will take over as interim assistant coach. Director of video Sean Ehlbeck will now serve as the director of video and scouting.
