-

Police have identified two people arrested after a lengthy police chase on Friday. Both suspects were wanted in connection with a Virginia homicide that happened early Friday morning. The driver of a silver Toyota Scion was Melissa Joyce Moen, 38, of the 100 block of Wiltshire Road in Essex. The passenger was Christopher Levar Cox, 33, of the 300 block of Magnolia Terrace, also of Essex. Both are being held without bail in the Baltimore County Detention Center pending extradition procedures. The chase began when Baltimore County police received a request from Newport News, Va., at about 12:14 p.m. on Friday to check for the vehicle in Essex. The suspects led police on an extended pursuit through the Essex, White Marsh and Parkville areas, the Police Department said. Officers were eventually able to box in the vehicle in a parking lot in the 12500 block of Eastern Ave. near Ebenezer Road, and arrest both driver and passenger. Moen and Cox were also served with Baltimore County warrants for additional charges, police said. Local authorities will coordinate prosecution of those charges with Hampton Police Division following their extradition.
