Broadneck’s White plans to retire after 42 seasons

After a distinguis­hed coaching career that has spanned more than 40 years, Broadneck’s Clay White has announced he will retire following the current school year. White, 66, the boys lacrosse coach and a physical education teacher at Broadneck, emailed coaching colleagues on Monday to let them know of his decision. Broadneck athletic director Ken Kazmarek announced White’s pending retirement from coaching and teaching in a press release on Tuesday afternoon. “Clay White’s departure marks the end of an era at Broadneck. His record as our lacrosse coach speaks for itself, but it will be his lasting impact on our student-athletes that will be most missed,” Kazmarek said in the release. “Mr. White was more than a coach to our athletes.
