BMGC to host Halloween scramble at Pine Ridge

Baltimore Municipal Golf Corporatio­n, also known as Baltimore’s Classic Five, will host the Halloween Glow Ball Scramble on Oct. 27 at Pine Ridge Golf Course. The Halloween Glow Ball Scramble will be a four-person scramble event with a 6:30 p.m. shotgun start. One group of 40 golfers will play holes 1-5 and another group of 40 golfers will play holes 10-13 and 18. All groups will receive five glow-in-the- dark golf balls. Players are encouraged to wear a costume and separate prizes will be given for best costume worn by a lady, a gentleman, a couple, and a foursome during the awards cocktail hour following the event. Registrati­on for the Halloween Glow Ball Scramble is open and space is limited to the first 20 teams. A $160 per team price includes green fees, carts, glow-in-the- dark golf balls, prizes, cocktail hour and a buffet dinner. MEN’S COLLEGE SOCCER: Andrew Lasso’s second-half goal lifted Mount St. Mary's to a 2-1 victory at Central Connecticu­t State on Friday night, as the Mountainee­rs picked up their first Northeast Conference win of the season. —
