Scooters v. pedestrian­s: Is the city keeping tabs?

Baltimore’s pilot agreement with Bird and Lime should also include data on the number of pedestrian­s hit from behind by scooters operated on the sidewalk (“More than 250,000 rides taken on Bird, Lime scooters in Baltimore, but other data not reported,” Oct. 18).

You’re afraid to deviate from walking in a straight line not knowing when and if a scooter is coming up from behind you and if it’s going to bang into you, knocking you to the ground.
