Police still checking scene where remains were found

Anne Arundel County police were still investigating the scene in Glen Burnie Thursday where human remains were recovered Tuesday night. Police spokesman Marc Limansky wrote in an email that the remains were found in the 1400 block of Furnace Ave. near the Church of the Good Shepherd, close to Brewers Island in Marley Creek. Limansky said investigators have not identified the remains and he did not release any more details about the investigation. Another spokesman, Capt. Russ Davies, said the dive team had been on the scene of the investigation at Marley Creek since 9 a.m. Thursday. He added that investigators were expected to be on the scene throughout the day. It was the dive team’s first day as part of the investigation, Davies said. In a message, he said the department was not involved in the “36 hours leading up to this morning.”
