Woodstock man charged in 2 shootings, 1 fatal

A 25-year-old man faces murder charges for killing an18-year-old Calvert County woman and shooting another manlast month in Brooklyn, Anne Arundel County police said. Liam Cameron Penn, 25, of Woodstock, faces murder and attempted-murder charges. Police wrote in court documents that he shot Danielle Gunson, 18, of Owings, and Terence Caruso on Sept. 27 in Crownsvill­e. Gunson died from her injuries and was found in Brooklyn. Caruso was hospitaliz­ed with serious injuries after police found him on Johns Hopkins Road in Crofton the same day. Gunson had been reported missing to Anne Arundel County police the day of her alleged killing. Gunson’s family did not return calls for comment Tuesday. Penn is serving three years of supervised probation after he pleaded guilty to drug distributi­on in December, court records show. No attorney is listed as representi­ng Penn in court records.
