NPSL’s FC Baltimore teams up with Christos FC

FC Baltimore of the National Premier Soccer League announced a partnership with longtime Baltimore soccer amateur men’s club Christos FC. The partnership will expand the team’s player base and provide player access to Christos FC coaching. FC Baltimore won the NPSL’s Mid-Atlantic regular-season title in their inaugural season. Christos FC, founded in 1997, gained national attention when they made a run in the 104th Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup in the summer of 2017, becoming the final amateur team to reach the fourth round. The club put up a challenge against D.C. United of Major League Soccer before falling, 4-1. The club will maintain the FC Baltimore identity, but will incorporate the Christos brand into its name and logo. The NPSL schedule will be released next spring, and FC Baltimore will continue to play its home matches at CCBC Essex.
