Baltimore transportation officials to discuss E. 26th St. repairs with neighbors
Officials from the Baltimore City Department of Transportation will meet Thursday evening with residents of East 26th Street in Charles Village to discuss repairs to a section of roadway above a rail line that partially collapsed amid heavy rain two weeks ago. The meeting, to “discuss the status of infrastructure repairs,” is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday in the gymnasium of Margaret Brent Elementary/Middle School, 100 E. 26th St., the department announced in a post on Facebook. The meeting will lay out the timeline for the next few weeks and give neighbors a chance to provide feedback on the repaired road’s design, said Ger- Police have identified two men who died Friday in separate shootings. Albertus Nelson, 58, of the 2500 block of W. Fayette St., was found Friday just after 10:45 p.m. with gunshot wounds to his body in Leakin Park near the 4700 block of Franklintown Road. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Edward Calloway, 32, was found Dec. 6 in the Carrollton Ridge neighborhood near the 300 block of S. Monroe St. with two gunshot wounds to the chest and one to the leg. He was taken to an area hospital where he died Dec. 7, police said. Another man shot Sunday in the Mondawmin neighborhood near the 2400 block of Reistertown Road has died from his injuries, police confirmed Monday.
