Former coach Seaman named Myers Man of Year

-

At the annual Intercollegiate Men’s Lacrosse Coaches’ Association convention, held at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront, former Towson University and Johns Hopkins men’s lacrosse coach Tony Seaman was honored as the Howdy Myers Man of the Year. The award was presented during the Nike IMLCA Awards Luncheon on Friday. The Howdy Myers Man of the Year Award is presented in honor of one of the sport’s most outstanding coaches. Seaman, who guided the Tigers for 13 seasons, is the second Towson coach to be named as the Howdy Myers Man of the Year, joining Carl Runk. Seaman amassed a 263-166 record, which ranks 17th among coaches all-time. He was named Division I National Coach of the Year three times (1983, 1984 and 2001) and remains the only coach to have guided three schools into the Division I tournament.
