Jets send Ducks to 11th straight loss

Bryan Lit­tle scored at 4:49 of over­time to give the Jets a 4-3 vic­tory over the Ducks on Sun­day in Win­nipeg, Man­i­toba, ex­tend­ing the Ducks’ fran­chise-record los­ing streak to 11 games.

Blake Wheeler, Pa­trik Laine and Ben Chiarot also scored and Con­nor Helle­buyck made 28 saves to help the Jets im­prove to 5-2-0 in their last seven games.

Brian Gib­bons, Rickard Rakell and An­drew Cogliano scored and John Gib­son stopped 30 shots for the Ducks. They’re 0-7-4 dur­ing the skid.

Chiarot tied it at 3 with 5:55 left in the third pe­riod with a bounc­ing shot that went past Gib­son.

The Ducks led 2-1 after the first pe­riod and 3-2 after two. Se­bas­tian Aho tal­lied his first hat trick of the sea­son and added an as­sist to help the Hur­ri­canes beat the Preda­tors 6-3. The Hur­ri­canes won for the sev­enth time in eight games. ... G Braden Holtby prac­ticed less than 24 hours after tak­ing a stick to his left eye dur­ing the Capi­tals’ 2-1 OT loss to the Blue Jack­tes. Holtby left the game and didn’t re­turn. But Sun­day, he said the in­jury, which he called “a scratch,” was “pro­gress­ing the right way.” Caps coach Todd Reirden said Holtby would be re-eval­u­ated.
