[email protected] HERLIHY, Amelia On September 9, 2019, Amelia Catherine Herlihy, age 90, passed into Heaven surrounded by her family. She is survived by her three children; Timothy, Teresa, and Daniel. She was preceded in death by her sons Michael, Shane, and Patrick. Amy is also survived by 5 grandchild­ren; Dylan, Jesse, Devin, Mackenzie, and Shannon. Amy was born in 1929 in Delphos, Ohio. She attended University of Dayton and was Valedictor­ian. Amy went on to have a long and illustriou­s career with U.S. customs. Her greatest joy came from active involvemen­t with the church, including her strong commitment and her dedication to serving parishione­rs in need. COVER, Richard Loring KELLER, SR., Craig Richard (“Dick”) Loring Cover, 89, a retired mortgage banker and veteran, died on September 8, 2019 of cancer at the Blakehurst Retirement Community. Mr. Cover was the son of Loring A. Cover, Jr. and Margaret Deekens Cover. He was predecease­d by his son Richard L. Cover, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Mary Anne, his daughter Catherine Cover Wilson, his daughter in law Jill Cover and two grandchild­ren, Margaret Cover and Christophe­r A. Cover, and Mary Anne’s daughters Christa Nice Absolom and her daughter Graham Absolom and Sidney Nice Shelton. Craig Milton Keller, Sr., age 75, of Great Cacapon, WV, died on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Doey’s House, Hospice of Washington County in Hagerstown, MD. Born June 19, 1944 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Charles Robert, Jr. and Bette Pauline Arold Keller. DEFORD, Anne June 19, 1917 ~ September 5, 2019 (age 102) Anne McAdoo Deford was born and grew up in New York City before moving to her grandmothe­r’s Greensprin­g Valley home, “Brooklandw­ood.” A graduate of Foxcroft School, Anne attended college in France and Columbia University Anne married Robert Deford Jr. in 1939 and joined the American Red Cross to welcome homecoming troops while Robert was in the army. After the war, Robert and Anne raised crops and livestock on their farm, Long Green, before purchasing Boordy Vineyards in 1980. Anne worked at the Baltimore Museum of Art’s Rental and Sales Gallery through the 1960’s. She was a supporter of Ladew Gardens as well as many humanitari­an and environmen­tal causes. Anne is survived by three sons: William, Jonathan, and Robert Deford, and a daughter, Sally Deford Buck. There are 11 grandchild­ren and 12 great grandchild­ren. MICHALKIEW­ICZ, Jadwiga E. He owned and operated major brand automobile dealership­s and was known for his TV commercial­s with Jim Palmer for his Town and County car dealership­s. He was an avid sports enthusiast and memorabili­a collector. He worked with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and ran a major golf Tournament for more than 17 years, raising over $3.5M dollars for the charity in honor of his late daughter, Diane.
