HOROSCOPES

Baltimore Sun - - ENTERTAINMENT -

Aries (March 21-April 19): The stage is set for good things to happen when you quiet down today. Eliminate distractions, and focus on your work. Prospects become almost instantaneously brightened by an ego boost if you can gaze back upon your productive day.

Taurus (April 20-May 20): Run with your joy, and put a long overdue plan into action. Take a chance and go on an outing together to explore potential common ground. Try out a different restaurant for lunch or meet up to engage in a friendly dialogue. When the good times roll, roll with them.

Gemini (May 21-June 20): Your devotion to detail is hard to deny. If you spot a flaw, it is not due to pessimism. It is far more likely that you are bringing your critical eye for the sole purpose of making a good thing even better. Others will follow your footsteps before they will listen to your advice.

Cancer (June 21-July 22): Proactive communication is well worth the effort required to maintain a harmonious relationships. Others might worry if you fly under the radar, turn off your phone or stop responding to texts. Minds are at ease once they know you are simply sorting through your thoughts.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22): Starting your day with exercise or meditation sets your brain up for success. When your thinking is orderly and methodical, events are invited to neatly unfold. Things tend to work out well when you are positive in your approach and resilient in your problem-solving.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): Trying to identify the pattern in a splish-splash of details can be like spotting the forest amidst hundreds of trees today. If your head starts to spin in confusion, take a break. Get some fresh air. Hydrate. Henry David Thoreau wrote, “It’s not what you look at that matters; it’s what you see.”

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct.

22): A guessing game is likely to bring more irritation than intrigue to love or friendship today. You are doubtless more interested in communication that is spelled out in plain terms than secret messages. The truth of the matter is, it takes two to tango in the relationship dance.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): Your sixth sense dishes plentiful advice today, especially about how much to demand from yourself when working toward a goal. Going to extremes can be counterproductive to your cause and unhealthy for your emotional well-being. Find the groove that is just right.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22Dec. 21): Forward seems like the only direction you know how to move in today. A lot of transformative energy is released when obligations are not viewed as burdens but like steppingstones to proving your integrity. Honor your intentions, but never forget progress is a crooked line.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): You might feel inexplicably drawn toward getting to know more about a person, place, or area of study today. Cultivating a budding talent or writing a new chapter in life can include expanding your social skills, exploring unfamiliar territory, or extending your education.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): Your free-spirited and independent nature does not like to feel boxed in by a strict schedule. Paradoxically, following the rules allows you to succeed on your own terms. Psychotherapist Michael Altshuler said, “The bad news is time flies. The good news is you’re the pilot.”

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20): The expectations of others seem to be anything but pie in the sky today. Even if you are not yet ready to say it out loud, you are probably in the process of tethering your predictions to earthbound realities. A sobering realization frees up resources that could be used to make real-world progress.
