Doncic, Mavs end Lakers’ streak at 10
Luka Doncic scored 21 of his 27 points in a dynamic second half, Kristaps Porzingis added 15 and the Mavericks snapped the Lakers’ 10-game winning streak 114-100 Sunday.
Doncic also had 10 assists and nine rebounds, and Delon Wright had 17 points and nine assists in the Mavericks’ seventh victory in eight games.
The Mavs underlined their status as likely title contenders with an inspired second half on the road against the NBA-leading Lakers, who had lost only once in 18 games since their season opener.
LeBron James had 25 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. Anthony Davis had 27 points and 10 rebounds for the Lakers (17-3), whose longest winning streak in 10 years ended with their largest defeat of the young season.
Raptors explode: Pascal Siakam scored 35 points, Fred VanVleet had 21 points and 11 assists and the Raptors used a recordsetting first half to rout the Jazz 130-110.
The Raptors’ 77-37 lead at the break was the biggest in franchise history and the NBA’s largest this year.
Other games: Jimmy Butler scored 20 points, Bam Adebayo had 17 points and 16 rebounds and the Heat scored the final 10 points to pull out a 109-106 win over the Nets. ... Christian Wood scored a careerhigh 28 points in the Pistons’ 132-98 rout of the Spurs, who’ve lost 11 of 13.
