Woman charged with stabbing man in Annapolis
A woman was arrested and charged with assault Friday night after she stabbed a man in the back with a kitchen knife, Annapolis police said. Officers responded to the 1100 block of Madison St. — near the Leron M. Fisher Community Swimming Pool — for reports of a stabbing around 11:55 p.m., police said. They found a 25-year-old man had been stabbed in the back, police said. Officers quickly located the suspect and the weapon. Police arrested Kierra Mone Stafford, 25, of the 1900 block of Copeland St. She has been charged with first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and carrying a dangerous weapon with the intent of injuring another, according to online court records. Stafford does not have an attorney listed in online records. She was ordered held without bond Saturday and remains in custody at the Jennifer Road Detention Center. Police said the man refused medical treatment but made his way to a hospital later for treatment.
