Jayson Ta­tum had 39 points and the host Celtics pulled away from the Clip­pers in the sec­ond over­time to win 141-133 on Thurs­day night.

Mar­cus Smart added 31 points and Gor­don Hay­ward fin­ished with 21 points and 13 re­bounds. Kemba Walker added 19 points and nine re­bounds. Ta­tum and Smart com­bined for 16 of the Celtics’ 27 points in the over­time pe­ri­ods.

The Clip­pers played most of the game with­out Paul Ge­orge, who left in the sec­ond quar­ter with a left ham­string strain. Lou Wil­liams led the Clip­pers with 35 points.

Be­fore the game, the league fined Ge­orge $35,000, two days af­ter he was crit­i­cal of the of­fi­ci­at­ing af­ter his team lost to the 76ers.

Gal­li­nari leads Thun­der: Danilo Gal­li­nari scored 29 points, Chris Paul had 14 points and 12 as­sists, and the Thun­der beat the host Pel­i­cans 123-118.

Zion Wil­liamson scored 32 points for the Pel­i­cans, but Gal­li­nari’s clutch shoot­ing — he had 11 points in the fourth quar­ter — kept the Pel­i­cans at bay.

LeBron, Davis power Lak­ers: LeBron James posted a triple-dou­ble and An­thony Davis scored seven of his 33 points in OTto push the Lak­ers past the Nuggets 120-116 in Den­ver. James had 32 points, 14 as­sists and 12 re­bounds as the Lak­ers headed into the All-Star break with a four-game lead over sec­ond-place Nuggets in the West.
