LSU probe in ’13 faulted Miles
Kansas football coach Les Miles, during his tenure at LSU, was accused of kissing a female student and texting her and another from his personal phone, leading the school to bar him from being alone with women who were student employees, according to a 2013 LSU investigation that the school released Thursday.
Miles denies the allegations.
Baseball: OF Jackie Bradley Jr. agreed to a two-year, $24 million deal with the Brewers, according to reports. Bradley, 30, had spent his entire career with the Red Sox . ... Braves LHP Max Fried won’t make his first scheduled start of spring training Friday due to a potential exposure to someone with COVID-19.
College basketball: Franz Wagner scored 19 points, Hunter Dickinson added 14 and No. 2 Michigan wrapped up the Big Ten title with a 69-50 victory over rival visiting Michigan State. The Wolverines improved to 19-2, 14-2 . ... Villanova senior PG Collin Gillespie was diagnosed with a torn MCL in his left knee and likely will miss the rest of the season. Gillespie, who was averaging 14.0 points and 4.6 assists, suffered the injury during the 10th-ranked Wildcats’ Big East title-clinching win over No. 14 Creighton on Wednesday night.
Golf: Rory McIlroy and Corey Conners each shot an opening-round 6-under 66 to share a one-stroke lead at the Arnold Palmer Invitation in Orlando, Fla. ... Nelly Korda, winner last week at the Gainbridge LPGA, shot an opening-round 5-under 67 to share a one-stroke lead with Jennifer Kupcho and Austin Ernst at the Drive On Championship in Ocala, Fla.
NBA: Lakers star LeBron James took the Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo with the No. 1 pick in the All-Star Game draft. The other Team James starters: Stephen Curry (Warriors), Luka Doncic (Mavs) and Nikola Jokic (Nuggets). Kevin Durant, who won’t play Sunday due to injury, took Nets teammate Kyrie Ivring with his first pick. The other Team Durant starters: Joel Embiid (76ers), Kawhi Leonard (Clippers), Bradley Beal (Wizards) and Jayson Tatum (Celtics).
NHL: Sidney Crosby started for the Penguins against the Flyers after being activated from the COVID-19 list. Crosby missed Tuesday’s game.
