LET THERE BE LIGHT
Tsga Dafla, a project engineer for M.C. Deen, one of the contractors for “The Beacon,” a permanent artistic light installation at Last Mile Park on North Gay Street, waits for the dedication ceremony to start Tuesday. The 16 light totems glow in vibrant blue and amber to provide a lit path for drivers, pedestrians and residents. Developers of the project say it helps connect neighborhoods and improves safety.
