Boys’ Latin, St. Mary’s snag first-round playoff byes

Tuesday fittingly capped a roller-coaster regular season in Maryland Interschol­astic Athletic Associatio­n A Conference lacrosse. Now it’s time to move on to the playoffs.

Top-seeded and defending champion Boys’ Latin and second-seeded St. Mary’s earned first-round byes with one-goal wins on Tuesday. They head straight to next Tuesday’s semifinals at Navy MarineCorp­s Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, with the championsh­ip game set for next Friday.
