King Charles III takes walkabout, addresses nation
King Charles III vowed in his first speech as monarch Friday to carry on Queen Elizabeth II’s “lifelong service” with his own modernizing stamp, as Great Britain entered an uncertain new age under a new sovereign while some 2,000 people were attending a service of remembrance for the queen who had ruled for the past 70 years.
