Stamos memoir slated for fall 2023
Parenthood and the death of his dear friend and former “Full House” co-star Bob Saget helped convince John Stamos it was time to write his memoir.
The publisher Henry Holt announced Wednesday that Stamos’ “If You Would Have Told Me” is scheduled for fall 2023.
“‘If You Would Have Told Me’ is the book I never planned to write, but after losing Bob, finally becoming a father, and wanting to honor all the colorful people who have made me who I am today, I figured if not now, when?” Stamos, 59, said in a statement.
Stamos’ career ranges from his early appearances on “General Hospital” to his years on “Full House” as Uncle Jesse to touring with the Beach Boys. He became a father in 2018 after his wife, Caitlin McHugh, gave birth to their son, Billy.
According to Holt, the actor will describe “the surreal highs and devastating lows of a misunderstood heartthrob who has always remained a dorky kid from Orange County, and of his midlife quest to find sobriety and a family of his own.”
Reynolds shares colonoscopy results:
Actors and pals Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney underwent colonoscopies and share the results of the preventive screening in a new video from Lead from Behind, which raises awareness for colon cancer.
“Part of being this age is getting a colonoscopy. It’s a simple step that could literally, and I mean literally, save your life,” said Reynolds, 45, in the video, which was made in association with the Colorectal Cancer Alliance.
Reynolds is informed by
New York’s Dr. Jonathan Lapook that the physician made the “potentially life-saving” discovery of a polyp. Lapook, who is also chief medical correspondent for CBS News, shows a snap of the polyp, which he says “could have ended up developing into cancer and causing all sorts of problems . ... Nobody would know that they had this . ... That’s why people need to do this.”
Los Angeles’ Dr. Leo Treyzon tells McElhenney, 45, after his procedure that three small polyps had been found and removed.

time … I was blinded by excitement, but unfortunately, I no longer feel able to fully realize this film.”
