Salvation Army anniversary
Salvation Army Assistant Corps Sgt. Maj. Luanna North, center, and Maj. Jeanne Miller, a retired Salvation Army officer, right, accompany members of the Salvation Army Marching Band to celebrate the 130th anniversary of the Baltimore Hampden Corps ministry with gospel and classical music. They were joined at the Inner Harbor Amphitheatre by the Salvation Army Baltimore Temple Corps, now in its 101st year. The Salvation Army’s work in Baltimore began in Hampden in a tent on 36th Street near Hickory Avenue.
