Wilsons among Grammy honorees

Ann and Nancy Wilson are among the artists who will receive the Recording Academy’s 2023 Lifetime Achievemen­t Awards.

The Wilson sisters, who rose to fame in the 1970s with the band Heart, will be in illustriou­s company when they receive their Grammy Lifetime Achievemen­t Awards at the Special Merit Awards ceremony. This year’s other Lifetime Achievemen­t Awards honorees, announced Thursday, are the Supremes; Bobby McFerrin; Nirvana; blues pioneer Ma Rainey; Chic band co-founder, producer and songwriter Nile Rodgers; and rapper Slick Rick.

The Special Merit ceremony will be held Feb. 4, one day before this year’s edition of the Grammy Awards ceremony.

This year’s Recording Academy Trustees Awards recipients — also given out at the Special Merit ceremony — include legendary music photograph­er Henry Diltz, the late jazz piano great and music educator Ellis Marsalis, and Stax Records co-founder Jim Stewart. The 2023 Technical Grammy Award honorees are Andy Hildebrand and the Audio Engineerin­g Society.

Rinna moving on from ‘Housewives’:

On Thursday, Lisa Rinna announced she would no longer be appearing in “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” after joining the cast in season five eight years ago. A representa­tive for Rinna said in a statement that the actor’s “contract was up at the end of last season.”

“After taking the time to weigh her current options and business obligation­s, Lisa and Bravo have discussed and mutually decided that she will not be returning to RHOBH,” the statement said.

‘Daily Show’ guest hosts unveiled:

Comedy Central’s search for a new “Daily Show” host begins Jan. 17 with a slate of guest hosts, who will fill the seat comedian Trevor Noah gave up last month after seven years.

The series of three-day guest spots gets underway when “Saturday Night Live” alum Leslie Jones kicks off the show’s 2023 premiere Jan. 17. Comedian Wanda Sykes assumes hosting duties Jan. 23. She will turn the desk over to D.L. Hughley on Jan. 30. Former “Chelsea Lately” host Chelsea Handler takes the reins Feb. 6, before comic Sarah Silverman begins her series of gigs Feb. 13.

Comedy Central stated that Al Franken, John Leguizamo, Hasan Minhaj, Kal Penn and Marlon Wayans will also appear on “The Daily Show,” though dates for their shows haven’t been announced.

Screenwrit­er Norgaard dies:

Lise Norgaard, a screenwrit­er who penned the epic television drama “Matador” about the lives of ordinary Danish families in a fictitious provincial town during the recession of the 1930s and the hard times of World War II, has died at age 105. Norgaard died Jan. 1 after a brief illness, her family said. Norgaard is also known for her 1992 memoirs, “Kun en pige,” recounting her struggle to become a female reporter.
