Trio of films lead SAG Award nods

In nomination­s to its 29th annual awards, the Screen Actors Guild heaped honors on the casts of the anarchic indie hit “Everything Everywhere All at Once” and the Irish tragicomed­y “The Banshees of Inisherin.”

The award contenders, voted on by the Hollywood actors’ guild SAGAFTRA, were announced Wednesday on Instagram Live. The nominees for the guild’s top award, best ensemble, are “Babylon,” “The Banshees of Inisherin,” “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” “The Fabelmans” and “Women Talking.”

Steven Spielberg’s

“The Fabelmans,” Martin McDonagh’s “The Banshees of Inisherin” and Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert’s “Everything Everywhere All at Once” earned a leading five SAG nomination­s each.

On the TV side, nominated for best ensemble in a drama series are “Better Call Saul,” “The Crown,” “Ozark,” “Severance” and “The White Lotus.” Up for best comedy series ensemble are “Abbott Elementary,” “Barry,” “The Bear,” “Hacks” and “Only Murders in the Building.”

After losing its broadcast home on TNT and TBS, the SAG Awards on Wednesday announced a new multiyear partnershi­p with Netflix to stream the ceremony. This year’s show, set for Feb. 26, will livestream on Netflix’s YouTube page. Next year’s ceremony will be streamed directly on Netflix.

Lizzo, Swift, Styles lead iHeartRadi­o Award nomination­s:

Lizzo, Taylor Swift and Harry Styles lead the 2023 iHeartRadi­o Music Awards nomination­s with seven nods each. Jack Harlow and Drake follow close behind with six apiece.

The iHeartRadi­o Music Awards honor the most played artists of the year on the network’s stations and app, and fans can vote in several categories. Voting on Twitter began Wednesday and closes March 20.

For top song of the year, Lizzo’s “About Damn Time” faces off against Swift’s “Anti-Hero,” Styles’ “As It Was,” Justin Bieber’s “Ghost,” Doja Cat’s “Woman,” “Glass Animals’ “Heat Wave,” Latto’s “Big Energy,” Lil Nas X and Harlow’s “Industry Baby,” Harlow’s “First Class” and Imagine Dragons’ “Enemy.”

The iHeartRadi­o Music Awards will air March 27 on Fox as well as on iHeartRadi­o stations and the app.

Bad Bunny, Blackpink, Ocean to headline Coachella:

Bad Bunny, Blackpink and Frank Ocean will hit the stage as headliners at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival this year.

Organizers announced the hefty list of performers Tuesday. The festival will run for two weekends — April 14 to 16 and then April 21 to 23 — in Indio, California. The headliners are expected to perform both weekends.

Other performers include Rosalia, Calvin Harris, Gorillaz, Pusha T, Bjork, Becky G, SG Lewis, Burna Boy, Earthgang, Labrinth and Chemical Brothers.

Singer William Lee Golden is 84. Actor Anthony Andrews is 75. Radio personalit­y Howard Stern is 69. Director John Lasseter is 66. Journalist Christiane Amanpour is 65. Actor Oliver Platt is 63. Musician Rob Zombie is 58. Rapper Raekwon is 53. Singer Melanie Chisholm is 49. Actor Issa Rae is 38. Singer Zayn is 30.
