CARLSON, Sasha Belle

-

Sasha Belle Carlson, 18, passed away suddenly on September 11, 2023, at her home in Towson. The cause of death is not yet known. Sasha was born in Towson on August 9, 2005, to Kristine Henry and Scott Carlson. She attended Rodgers Forge Elementary School, Arts & Ideas Sudbury School, Towson High School, and Calvert Academy.

She loved to write and draw and also connected to much in life through music. Nicki Minaj, the Queen of Rap, was always at the top of her playlist. Sasha enjoyed the artistry of makeup and could create magic with her cosmetic bag full of palettes, brushes, and potions. She loved to travel and in the past few years visited family in Colorado, South Carolina, and Minnesota, and also took trips to Maine, Nashville, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and the beaches of North Carolina. She adored New York City. Sasha also spent time in the mountains of Utah, and if you put her in the wilderness with a sleeping bag, a tarp, a camp stove, and a sack of food, she would do just fine.

She is survived by her mother and father; brother, Jack; her grandparents, Ginny McAninch, Gordon Henry, Karmen Artmann, and Jeff and Mary Caye Carlson; as well as a loving extended family. Sasha’s death is a devastating loss; her quick wit and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew her. Her beloved dogs, Ellie and Petie, will also miss her very much.

Plans for a memorial service are underway, and details will be available on legacy.com. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Baltimore Animal Rescue & Care Shelter (BARCS), 2490 Giles Rd, Baltimore, MD 21225.
