CHRIS BROWN
As a former minor league baseball player, Chris Brown has a unique perspective on the game. But his works include more than baseball.
“I’ve been the artist for the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame since 2009,” Brown says. “I’ve created over 100 sports-related portraits for them. I’ve created pieces of such athletes as Peyton Manning, Reggie Wayne, Ed Reed, Kevin Mawae, and Shaquille O’Neal for the HOF. I have also created pieces for the Sugar Bowl, Northwestern State University and hundreds of private collectors.”
Among Brown’s biggest influences: Norman Rockwell. “He had a beautiful style and his paintings that focused on sports, while comical, captured a lot of emotion.”
