CHADWICK HAVERLAND
Chadwick Haverland grew up “a hardcore card collector in the late ‘80s and the ‘90s, so my influences came from the different sets like Diamond Kings, Gridiron Kings, etc., along with the Marvel Masterpieces sets.”
Among the artists who inspired him: Dick Perez and Joe Jusko.
Haverland knew he wanted to be an artist from a young age, and worked early in life to develop his skills while taking different courses and classes in school before being accepted to the Art Instruction School. While
there, he studied graphic design and captured his first commissioned work with the Phoenix Celebrity Classic. From there he began working with Marshall Faulk and the Marshall Faulk Foundation as well as other athletes and celebrities.
“One of the things I really hope collectors take away from my work, aside from the attention to detail, is that timeless essence or feeling captured in the plays and expressions of the players in my work,” Haverland says. “I want collectors to be able to look at the work and see the inspiration behind it and hopefully it takes them back.”
