ALVIN FALL
Alvin Fall got his start as an artist in the early 1980s when his mom – a watercolor artist – would bring out her art supplies for her kids to experiment with at the kitchen table in the family’s home in Loveland, Colorado.
“My siblings and I would draw and paint for hours at a time,” Fall says. “Mom would encourage us and help us along the way. In those early years, my favorite subjects to draw and paint were landscapes and horses.”
Falls’ father happened to be a lifelong fan of the NFL, and shared NFL films tapes with his son. For the younger Fall, it opened a new passion to go with art: Football. “My first illustrations were drawn with a No. 2 pencil on notebook paper. The first sports illustration I created was referenced from a [1991 Pro Set] Rodney Hampton football card.”
Fall has officially licensed NFL prints available on DeaconJones.com. The Foundation is a non-profit organization that uses proceeds to teach art and provide art supplies to inner city youth.
