2020 INDUSTRY SUMMIT MOVING FORWARD AS PLANNED IN LAS VEGAS

Beckett Media is excited to announce the 2020 Industry Summit will take place as scheduled September 13-16 at the Westgate Hotel & Resort in Las Vegas.

Industry Summit Co-Host Ted Barker said, “Throughout the nationwide pandemic we have been in constant contact with key partners. We have monitored the Covid-19 statistics in Las Vegas. We considered contingenc­y plans including a virtual summit or cancellati­on, if the situation dictated.”

Recently, a survey was sent to each 2019 Summit attendee and to collectors via Beckett’s social media platforms. Meetings were held with sponsors, manufactur­ers, distributo­rs, licensors and the Westgate resort. The overwhelmi­ng response was to produce the Summit as planned in Las Vegas.

Despite the nationwide shelter-in- place restrictio­ns, the trading card category has continued to thrive. The Industry Summit will be a celebratio­n of the continued success.

The Beckett team has worked throughout the year to produce a summit that is informativ­e, fun and exceeds expectatio­ns of each attendee. Based on feedback from the very successful 2019 event, improvemen­ts include more channel-specific breakout sessions, a new Meet The Industry format and Product Showcase.

An outstandin­g keynote address speaker will be announced soon. These changes were made to benefit attendees and sponsors while celebratin­g the industry’s success and momentum.

Memorable activities are scheduled each day, including Sunday’s NFL-themed kick-off event, Southern Hobby’s Fantasy Sports Breaks giveaway party, a Panini sponsored event, a golf tournament presented by Peach State Sports, Magazine Exchange’s bowling extravagan­za, and a special surprise for all attendees from GTS Distributi­on.

The NBA and eBay are among other returning key partners. Upgrades have also been made to the food menu offerings.

The Westgate created a series of new safety protocols throughout the resort and convention spaces.
