TYLER HERRO

ROOKIE CARD GUIDE

- BY RYAN CRACK NE LL

THE TYLER HERRO ROOKIE CARD LINEUP MIGHT NOT HAVE ARRIVED WITH THE HYPE AND MASSIVE EXPECTATIONS OF FELLOW 2019 DRAFT PICKS ZION WILLIAMSON AND JA MORANT, BUT THAT DOESN’T MEAN THE INTEREST HASN’ T BEEN THERE. IT’ S A TESTAMENT TO THE DEPTH OF THE YEAR’S ROOKIE CLASS. BUT WITH THE HEAT MAKING A SOMEWHAT UNEXPECTED DEEP RUN IN THE PLAYOFFS, A LOT OF EYES ARE SUDDENLY ON THE YOUNG SHOOTING GUARD.

A lottery pick in the 2019 NBA Draft (13th overall), Herro came to Miami via Kentucky. He played just one season with the Wildcats, averaging 14 points, 2.5 assists and 4.5 rebounds per game. Those numbers didn’t change much in his first season with the Heat. Herro’s per-game average of 13.5 points, 2.2 assists and 4.1 rebounds landed him a spot on the NBA All-Rookie Second Team.

When it comes to early Herro cards, there are lots to choose from when you factor in all of the inserts, parallels, autographs and more. By the time the final 2019-20 set is released, he’ll have appeared on more than 1,500 different cards. But if you go with a traditional Rookie Card approach, it’s more manageable as far as quantity goes. They range in styles and prices. As you’d expect, autographs carry the highest values. As far as wide releases go, Panini Prizm, Hoops and Donruss Optic are among the more popular options.

The following list includes base Tyler Herro cards with the RC tag in the Beckett database. Inserts, parallels and other cards are not included here.
