ROOKIE CARD SETTING RECORDS THROUGH 2020

There are more than 32,000 total entries in the PSA, BGS and SGS population reports for the 1986-87 Fleer #57 Michael Jordan Rookie Card. Being so plentiful, many collectors feel this card is overvalued. But in the basic rule of supply and demand, when just about every collector on the planet wants one, values will rise.

This chart tracks average eBay sales of PSA Mint 9 graded versions each month through 2020, factoring in at least three closing prices each month. It does not include any grades with qualifiers or any extreme outlier closing prices. Values have jumped more than 300 percent and are now where Gem Mint 10 values were roughly a year ago.
