2021-22 PANINI ILLUSIONS BASKETBALL

2021-22 Panini Illusions Basketball is for those looking for interesting inserts and modern designs. e checklist features plenty of both including some with holograms. Hobby boxes promise one autograph to go along with 14 inserts and 14 parallels (an average of one of each per pack).

A total of 200 cards make up the main base set —150 veterans and legends plus 50 rookies at the end of the checklist. Parallels come in more than a dozen versions combining the product’s different box configurations. All fall under the Trophy Collection banner:

Trophy Collection Gold, Green and Purple cards are all exclusive to hobby packs.

AUTOGRAPHS

2021-22 Panini Illusions Basketball keeps it relatively simple with its autographs with all falling under one of five themes.

Forty rookies appear on First Impressions Jersey cards. is is the only place on the checklist to feature memorabilia. ese are also exclusive to hobby boxes.

Rookie Retro Signatures is another hobby-only autograph set. ese picture 20 different past and present superstars from early in their careers.

Another veteran and legend themed set, Superlative Signatures (40 cards), rounds out the hobby-exclusive ink.

Other autographs in 2021-22 Illusions Basketball include Trophy Collection Signatures (59 cards) and Rookie Signs (40 cards).

ADDITIONAL INSERTS

More than a dozen additional insert sets are part of the 202122 Panini Illusions Basketball checklist. is includes Franchise Favorite (15 cards), Illuminated (25 cards), the letter-inspired Mail Call (20 cards), Mystique (15 cards), and Rookie Vision (25 cards).

Illusions is also highlighting a 1990s hobby staple with NBA 75th Anniversary Holograms and Rookie Holograms. ese aren’t full holograms. Rather, the player is shown in the foreground with a standard image.
