FIRST VICTOR WEMBANYAMA, CAITLIN CLARK AUTOGRAPH CARDS ON THE WAY

With the NIL Era upon the hobby, a lot of collegiate athletes are getting their first mainstream cards and autographs earlier than ever. Still, there are some significant names that manage to slip through the cracks — like Victor Wembanyama and Caitlin Clark. To date, the only cards for both were found in Sports Illustrated Kids magazine. at’s about to change, though, as both highly touted basketball prospects have their first autograph cards in 2022-23 Bowman Inception University.

Wembanyama is projected to be the first overall pick in the 2023 NBA Dra . Many are hyping the 19-yearold as a potential generational talent.

He doesn’t have a base card in Inception. Wembanyama is one of nearly 200 athletes, though, to have a Base Autograph. In fact, this is his only appearance in the product.

Clark led the Iowa Hawkeyes to the NCAA national championship game this season. Although the Hawkeyes lost to LSU, it still capped another strong season for the point guard. Among her accolades for the season, Clark was named AP Player of the Year, Naismith College Player of the Year and winner of the John R. Wooden Award.

Clark has several cards in Inception including a spot in the base set. As for her signature, the chase starts with a Base Autograph. Bowman U Top of the Class Autographs (/100), and a Primordial Prospects Autograph (/99) are also on the checklist.

ere’s no word yet as to whether Wembanyama or Clark will be in other upcoming collegiate-themed products like 2022-23 Bowman Chrome University Basketball.

2022-23 Bowman Inception is scheduled to come out on May 17.
