2017 Elite #155 RC
Elite is one of the early products featuring rookies in NFL uniforms. This RC goes for around $300 ungraded and is limited to 499 copies, which makes it one of the best values among all Mahomes RCs.
2017 Panini Phoenix #104 RC
Panini Phenix debuted in 2016, and while it doesn’t have the brand strength of Prizm, Optic or even basic Donruss, this card is a great pick-up for about $250 if you want at least one Mahomes Rookie Card.
2017 Donruss Optic #177 RR RC
The 2017 Optic release was Panini’s second year revitalizing the Rated Rookie cards for football. This has been one of Mahomes’ most popular non-autographed RCs since 2017. It sells for around $300. It’s a nice alternative to is 2017 Panini Prizm RC, which can reach $1,500.
2017 Panini #104 RC
The Panini brand continued in 2017 with the medieval theme tying into Panini’s knight logo. Expect to pay about $200 for this RC.
2017 Donruss #327 RR RC
This is about as basic as it gets, yet still a hot card. Donruss is one of Panini’s flagship brands and one of the most popular on retail shelves. Raw versions go for around $150 to $200, but Mint or Gem Mint graded versions can bring $400 to $1,000.
2017 Playoff #204 RC
Playoff is a long-running brand, and this lower-end release delivered Rookie Cards with no autographs or memorabilia swatches. This RC is around $150. The next most valuable RC in the set is $8.
2017 Rookies and Stars #201 RC
Rookie and Stars has a history of both basic Rookie Cards and RCs with serial numbering and autographs. This has no frills for up to $200.
2017 Classics #274 RC
Picturing Mahomes in his Texas Tech uniform, this Classics Rookie Card was one of Panini’s first NFL releases in 2017. The focus of the brand is on all-time greats with a throwback design. This RC is an easy pickup for about $50 compared to others on this list.
2017 Crown Royale #84 RC
Going back to the mid-’90s, Crown Royale has a history of unique die-cutting accentuating the crown design. This card does feature the crown theme, but no die-cutting. It also brings close to $200.
2017 Prestige #232 RC
Another basic product with rookies in college uniforms, Prestige is another long-term brand. You can find it for less than $50. Gem Mint graded versions can command $400 or more.
