Best Bucs for Your Buck
Not all 2020 Tom Brady cards picture him in a Buccaneers uniform, even if they identify him with the team. Still, there are plenty to collect. Through Tampa Bay’s wins over New Orleans and Green Bay as Brady dispatched the NFC’s most successful and prolific quarterbacks in Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers, his Bucs cards heated up. He certainly didn’t join the team to quietly fade away into retirement. He’s the fourth quarterback to lead two different teams to the Super Bowl. So, these new cards are suddenly much more significant in his record-setting career. Here are 10 cards released this year that picture Brady as a Buccaneer.
2020 Donruss Elite Series #ESTB
This is an easy pick-up for less than $10. Donruss might be the football card hobby’s most popular lower-end brand. It has an eye-catching design and holofoil treatment. There’s an autographed version numbered to 5.
2020 Panini Prizm #255
Brady’s first Prizm card as a Buccaneer goes for about $10 while the Silver parallel brings about $25. A Red Cracked Ice parallel recently sold for $160.
2020 Panini Prizm Color Blast #3
Color Blast might be the most popular case hit in the hobby with its simplistic yet artistic design. Prizm released late enough for Panini to create a Brady in his Tampa Bay uniform. It can reach up to $2,000 with some Gem Mint 10 grades going for $4,000.
2020 Absolute Kaboom #KTB
Kaboom is a more a ordable case hit alternative to Color Blast, but is still highly coveted by collectors. The high-energy image with a comic book-like design makes them one of the most recognizable and fun sets in the hobby. Expect to pay about $300. Brady also has Gold and Green parallels.
2020 Panini Mosaic Flea Flicker #13 Mike Evans/Ronald Jones II/Tom Brady
This is a great option if you want a card with Brady and his new teammates. If features running back Ronald Jones, who totaled more than 1,100 yards and eight touchdowns, and top receiver Mike Evans, who had a career-high 13 TDs with Brady. Parallels are identified by a di erent color background behind the Brady photo.
2020 Panini Spectra Spectracular #3
The Spectracular insert in Spectra is tough to find, with the largest print run numbered to 75. Still it’s a ordible at around $40. Parallel levels are numbered to 50 down to 1. The Neon Blue (pictured) goes for about $60.
2020 Panini Contenders Stardust #12
This is a cool retail exclusive with a confetti-like sparkle treatment that’s revealed when light hits the surface just right. It’s the first issue of Panini’s Stardust parallel. This card has been selling for a little less than $100.
2020 Panini Impeccable Silver NFL Shields #1
Rarely do cards have actual intrinsic value. This one does with 1 Troy ounce of silver featuring an NFL shield numbered to 20. With the volatility of the economy, silver is increasing in popularity.
2020 Panini Rookies & Stars Airborne Autographs #2
Panini produced a few Brady autographs in 2020, and most are numbered to 10 or less. This one from Rookies & Stars is limited to just three copies. It’s also one of the few showing him as a Buccaneer. One recently sold for $1,500.
2020 Absolute Hall Worthy Signatures #7
This insert in Absolute featured players who might be worthy of the Hall of Fame. Brady was worthy 15 years ago. This autograph is limited to 10 and sells for at least $1,000. A Gold parallel is numbered to 5.
