2021 Panini Legacy Football is a product that straddles both the past and the present. e designs evoke a sort of retro vibe but some of the ways they’re printed lean more to the now. e checklist covers current stars but many of the key components either look back or peek into the future.

Every hobby box is anchored by a pair of autographs. Other chase elements include four chromium inserts and a pair of mini cards.

e multi-generation­al aspect of

2021 Legacy Football is clear in the base set. Consisting for 200 total cards, it breaks down into three sections: veterans (100 cards), legends (40 cards) and rookies (60 cards).

Parallels for all 200 cards include:

• Red – /299

• Orange – /199

• Yellow – /150

• Green – /100

• Blue – /50

• Indigo – /25

• Violet – /10

• Black – 1/1

Bringing in the current technology are a variety of additional chrome parallels. All 200 cards have mini optichrome versions.

Regular-sized Premium Edition parallels can also be found for the set’s 60 rookies. Besides the regular Premium Edition versions, there are the following colors:

• Silver

• Bronze – /100

• Ruby – /50

• Sapphire – /35

• Yellow Diamond – /25

• Diamond – /10

On top of all this, veterans and legends have Base Autographs (/299 or less) that adapt the main design.

ese have their own Red (/100 or less), Yellow (/50 or less), Blue (/25 or less), Violet (/10 or less) and Black (1/1) versions.

Like last year, because this is one of the earliest releases of the year, rookies are shown as part of their college teams. is is also similar to 2021 Score Football.

AUTOGRAPHS AND OTHER INSERTS

Futures Patch Autographs (/399 or less) and Futures Dual Patch Autographs (/299 or less) are two of the places to find rookie signatures. In both

instances, there are Ruby (/100 or less), Sapphire (/25 or less), Yellow Diamond (/10 or less), Diamond (/5) and Platinum (1/1) parallels.

Dual-signature Futures Ink Combos (/100 or less) are also on the checklist. Parallels for these come in Ruby (/50 or less), Sapphire (/25 or less), Yellow Diamond (/10 or less), Diamond (/5 or less) and Platinum (1/1).

Legacy Patch Autographs (/100) features football greats. „e parallel pattern here is similar to other autographs with Ruby (/50 or less), Sapphire (/25 or less), Yellow Diamond (/10 or less), Diamond (/5 or less) and Platinum (1/1). Inserts combine to fall 12 per hobby box.

Under the Lights is back for another year, shine some additional light on superstars. Parallels include Silver, Bronze (/100), Ruby (/50), Sapphire (/35), Yellow Diamond (/10) and Platinum (1/1). „ere are also Silver Autographs that have six levels of additional parallels that are numbered to 100 or less.

Decade of Dominance and the two-player Generation­s are both new in 2021 Panini Legacy Football. Both have Green (/100), Blue (/50), Indigo (/25), Violet (/10) and Black (1/1) parallels.

DARE TO TEAR RIP CARDS

Allen & Ginter might be the most famous sports card brand when it comes to rip cards, but they weren’t the first. Pinnacle, which is now part of Panini’s portfolio, introduced Dare to Tear cards in late ’90s Zenith products.

Dare to Tear are back in 2021 Panini Legacy Football in three themes: Rookie, MVP and Hall of Fame. Each individual rip card is numbered to 50 copies.

For those who opt to open the card up, there are exclusive mini parallels inside including Amethyst, Onyx and Gold Vinyl. „ese minis have no more than 10 copies each.

Rip Cards combine to land one per 12-box inner case.
