BEST PARALLEL DESIGN

Every year we get a new parallel design, and Panini loves to test the waters to see how certain designs are received. Snakeskin debuted this year in a few products but seemed to be most popular in Panini Prizm where it hit one per case. You almost expect to feel the tiny scales. It’s a similar design to the dragon scale that debuted last year. Prizm’s symmetrical border makes a cool frame for the red-and-black snake design. You’ll also find it in Select as a green-andblack scale numbered to 2.

CLOSE SECOND: ZEBRA

The Zebra design has been around since 2018, but the animal theme seemed to be extra popular this year. This parallel design was in Select as an unnumbered Super-Short Print. The black-and-white stripes show well in all three Select versions and die-cuts (Field Level, Premier Level and Concourse). A Justin Herbert Field Level sold for $6,900 in late-April.
