It’s simultaneously one of the most reviled items in hockey history and the single-most sought-after item among puck collectors. The Fox Trax puck was rst used during the 1995-96 season to help American audiences that struggled to follow the puck during TV broadcasts. The special biscuits, which had a variety of internal sensors to create blue or red streaks on-screen, were so expensive that the league would send security personnel to retrieve them when they sailed into the stands. As a result, few found their way into the secondary market, and those that did remain prohibitively expensive.
