2015-16 The Cup Foundations Patch Tag Autographs #CF-AF

Fleury battled injuries throughout this season, including a bout with post-concussion syndrome that sidelined him for much of the playoffs. Still, he put up 35 wins in just 58 games and saw his name carved into the Stanley Cup for the third time, making for a memorable campaign. Fleury has nearly 3,000 serial numbered cards in his catalog, with scores of 1/1s. This one, from a championship season, is as beautiful as any. The four swatches make for a stunning design, but the individual cuts that were used for this card give it extra appeal. How sweet is that Pens logo cut?

2015-16 Upper Deck A Piece Of History 300 Win Club #300MF

Never one to let a teammate’s head get too big in the aftermath of a milestone, Pittsburgh center Evgeni Malkin let a little air out of Fleury’s balloon after the goalie earned career win No. 300 on Nov. 23, 2014. “Every shootout, I score on him,” Malkin said. “I don’t know how he win 300. It surprises me.” When the deadpan line got a big laugh from the rest of the squad, it made it clear how popular Fleury was in that room. This card, part of an ongoing series from UD, was equally popular. A parallel version featuring a patch swatch and limited to just 10 copies makes for a serious challenge.

2020-21 Upper Deck Ovation Standing Ovation #O-24

After a disappointing 201920 season that saw him lose playing time to partner Robin Lehner, there were whispers that Fleury was done. He dispelled those rumors the next season when, at the age of 36, Fleury recorded a career-best 1.98 goals-against average and a .928 save percentage. For his efforts, he captured his first Vezina Trophy and first Jennings Trophy and was named to the NHL’s Second All-Star Team. Collecting Fleury these days entails tracking down a lot of parallels. This card might not seem like much, but with just 50 copies inserted in an overlooked product, it’s tough to track down.

2017-18 Upper Deck Silver Foil #183

It was obvious from the moment he was left unprotected by the Penguins that Fleury would become a foundational piece for the expansion Vegas Golden Knights. He delivered on the hype, from the 45save performance that led the Knights to a 2-1 opening night victory through the team’s thrilling run to the Stanley Cup Final. Fleury appeared on a whopping 235 cards that season – enough to challenge a collector for a lifetime – including 36 in The Cup alone, but this one was the first to picture him with Vegas. This parallel version was an e-Pack exclusive, making it one of his toughest.

2021-22 Upper Deck Game Dated Moments Gold #28

How’s this for a telling statistic: Since UD debuted the online-only GDM program back in 2019, no player has appeared on more cards than Fleury with 17. It’s a testament to both his ability to generate highlight moments, as well as the career success that’s allowed him to reach so many notable milestones. He was most recently recognized (as of press time, anyway) for the 30-save shutout in Montreal on Dec. 9, 2021, which counted as his 500th win. The 37-year-old is just the third netminder to reach that plateau in NHL history. The base version of this card is limited to 499 copies, with 100 Gold parallels like this one to add to the chase.
