WHAT IS IT?:

SP is a retail offering targeting casual collectors with an accessible price point and an easy-to-complete checklist. It also manages to mix in some value with lots of serial-numbered cards as well as a chance to pull some autographs or memorabilia.

THE BASICS:

e base set has 100 veterans and 40 Rookie Authentics. e latter subset features cards numbered to 2,299. All 140 cards have Blue parallels (1:2), but Rookie Authentics subset cards can be chased in a variety of parallel levels:

• Patterned Foilboard – 1:50

• Gold Tint Patterned Foilboard – 1:200

• Green Tint Patterned Foilboard – 1:500

• Silver Spectrum – /1,299

• Gold – /999

• Red – /799

• Purple – /99

• Green – /25

• Black – 1/1

CHASE HIGHLIGHTS:

Select rookies also have hits-based parallels including Jerseys (1:40), Signatures (1:480), and Signatures Gold (/25). Authentic Signatures are the big pull, dropping 1:1,600 packs.

Authentic Profiles are numbered to 2,299 and also have several parallels, including:

• Blue – 1:5

• Patterned Foilboard – 1:200

• Green Tint Patterned Foilboard – 1:2,000

is is the sort of product that can ignite the passions of the next generation of collectors. It’s also one that’s going to pose a challenge for a lot of player collectors who’ll likely spend years trying to track down all the parallels of their favorite players from a product that’s not likely to be widely broken within the hobby. In other words, looks great!
