CLASS BACK IN SESSION

2021 TOPPS GOLD LABEL BASEBALL

-

2021 Topps Gold Label Baseball stays the course established when the brand returned back in 2016. There’s the promise of a framed autograph in every box, a base set that offers multiple tiers of rarity and a few other things sprinkled onto the checklist. But compared to a lot of sets, this one remains fairly straightforward in its approach.

The basic Gold Label base set has 100 cards mixing past, present and future stars. But what makes Gold Label different is that the base set does a triple take with three similar but separate tiers.

Class 1 is the most common and considered to be the main set anchoring everything else. The same players repeat on Class 2 (one per pack) and Class 3 (1:2 packs) cards. While the general layout is the same for each, the photos are different.

All three classes have the same five parallels, although like their base versions, quantities vary:

• Black (Class 1 – 1:2 packs, Class 2 – 1:6 packs, Class 3 – 1:20 packs)

• Blue (Class 1 – /150, Class 2 – /99, Class 3 – /50)

• Purple (Class 1 – /99, Class 2 – /75, Class 3 – /35)

• Red (Class 1 – /75, Class 2 – /50, Class 3 – /25)

• Gold (Class 1 – 1/1, Class 2 – 1/1, Class 3 – 1/1) AUTOGRAPHS

The autographs in 2021 Topps Gold Label Baseball fall under four different insert sets. However, all four are done with metal frames.

Framed Autographs are the main source for signatures. These have oncard signatures and have additional Black (/75), Blue (/50), Red (/25) and Gold (1/1) parallels.

Framed Dual Autographs take a similar approach but with two signers. Base versions are numbered to 10 while Black parallels have five copies and Gold are oneof-ones.

Auric Framed Autographs (/25 or less) are a new addition for 2021. These have gold all around with the frame, foil card stock and signature ink.

Finally, there’s Golden Greats Framed Autograph Jumbo Relics (/50 or less). These are also hard signed and have an oversized piece of game-used gear. Parallels include Black (/5) and Gold (1/1). RELIC CARDS

Stars from the past make up the MLB Legends Relic checklist. Base versions max out at 50 copies each with additional parallels available in Black (/5) and Gold (1/1).

Gold Prospect Relics (/25 or less) don’t have pieces of uniforms or bats. Instead they have a small gold nugget embedded in them.
