TRANSCENDENT EXPERIENCE

2021 TOPPS TRANSCENDENT HALL OF FAME BASEBALL

-

2021 Topps Transcendent Hall of Fame Baseball is as close as you’re going to get to a “sure thing” in the hobby. Yes, it comes with a massive price tag and elusive print run of just 50 single-box cases. But inside each is more than 40 autographs, all from Cooperstown inductees.

It’s also part of the Topps Transcendent line, so that means there’s a VIP event experience connected to it as well that includes a special party with some very special guests. 2021 TOPPS TRANSCENDENT HALL OF FAME BASEBALL CHECKLIST OVERVIEW

Transcendent Collection Autographs is where the majority of the cards in each box fall. A total of 40 cards fall under this banner and its three sections. Autographs and Image Variation Autographs are numbered to 20 copies each. Like all of the players in the product, each is a Hall of Famer.

Parallels include Emerald (/5), Platinum (1/1) and

Red (1/1).

Of the 40 autographs in each box, at least two are one-of-ones.

New this year are HOF Co-signers Dual Autographs (/15). ese have their own Emerald (/5), Platinum

(1/1) and Red (1/1) versions as well. ere’s a minimum of one of the duals in each box. ONE-OF-ONE AUTOGRAPHS

The six remaining autographs in each box are also one-of-a-kinds. They’re not parallels, either, but unique cards that follow very specific themes.

1956 Topps Superfractor Autographs (1/1) take the popular design and give it the ultimate chrome overhaul. There’s a total of 50 signers here.

Nolan Ryan and Randy Johnson both get the Through the Years Autographs (1/1) treatment. Each box has one card from each player. These put the two

dominating pitchers on a variety of Topps designs spanning several decades. There are also ten dual autograph versions, also one-ofones, that are randomly inserted.

Hall of Fame Icons Autographs (1/1) come with a standalone design.

New this year are 1989 Topps Big Framed Autographs (1/1).

The design might not be quite as famous but there’s still something retro about it. Each of these cards come with a gold frame.

The final autograph in each box is an Oversized Framed Cut Signature. Like last year, some of these are combo cards with as many as four different autographs. Among the team-based combinations are:

• Roy Campanella, Pee Wee Reese, Jackie Robinson and Duke Snider

• Joe Dimaggio and Lou Gehrig • Ted Williams and Bobby Doerr • Lou Boudreau, Larry Doby,

Bob Feller and Early Wynn

JAMES FIORENTINO ORIGINALS

e final card in each box is the only one to not have a Hall of Fame signature. Rather, it’s original art from James Fiorentino. To say that he has an extensive background in sports art might be an understatement. He’s painted Beckett Baseball covers each of the last two years.

Fiorentino has created art for sports cards in the past, but it’s typically for sets and not one-offs like these art cards.

VIP EVENT

Part of the Transcendent experience is a special event that’s connected to a product. ese bring together a small number of collectors in an intimate setting.

Additional cards and exclusives are typically part of these, but the big draw is the player meet-andgreet.

With the ongoing pandemic, specific event info and a guest list hasn’t been announced. But there will be one with an invitation in every box.

2021 Topps Transcendent Hall of Fame Baseball has a print run of just 50 boxes.
