2022 Topps Five Star Baseball keeps its primary focus simple. Every card on the checklist is an autograph with two coming in every Hobby box. Now the themes can bring a little more to it than that, but this is a product intended for those who want to get right to the signature chase.

As has been the case for a while, virtually everything in the product uses on-card signatures. e exceptions? Cut signatures and five-player autographed relic books. From a design perspective, collectors will notice lots of detailed foil highlights.

Base Autographs start things off with, according to Topps, more than 50 signers. Parallels include Aqua (/75), Purple (/50), Blue (/25), Green (/15), Gold (/10), Orange (/5) and Red (1/1).

Golden Graphs (/40 or less) and Silver Signatures (/40 or less) return, both getting their name for the ink they’re signed with. Both of these have Purple (/25), Blue (/20), Green (/15), Gold (/10), Orange (/5) and Red (1/1) parallels.

New to 2022 Topps Five Star Baseball are Baseball Royalty Autographs (/15).

ese feature top current and past names. Gold (/10), Orange (/5) and Red (1/1) versions also exist.

Five Tool Phenom Autographs (/25 or less) spotlight players who have multiple skill sets.

One of the largest parts of the checklist is Five Star Signatures. Topping out at 20 copies, some of these include additional inscriptions.

e shadowbox format of Pentamerous Penmanship (/25 or less) returns. Four levels of parallels are numbered to 10 and under. ere are also dual-signed versions that have five copies or less.

Five Star Dual (/10 or less) and Triple (/5 or less) keep with the hard signatures despite having multiple players.

One-of-one Cut Signatures are available for both baseball players and pop culture personalities.

Although 2022 Five Star has no standalone memorabilia cards, they do complement autographs in a couple of spots on the checklist.

Five Star Autograph Jumbo Prime cards all have large relic pieces. Base versions have no more than 25 copies each while additional Green (/15), Gold (/10), Silver Rainbow (/5) and Button (/5) parallels are also available. One-of-one patches come in five versions: Brand Logo, Laundry Tag, MLB Logo and Team Patch.

en there are Five Stars Autograph Relic books. Numbered to 5 or fewer, these have signatures and swatches from five different players. ere are also similar Five Stars Autographs (/5 or less) that drop the relics and book, going with a double-sided format.
