Ridgecrest Baptist Church

Ridgecrest Baptist Church invites everyone to attend its upcoming Vacation Bible School,

“Roar into the fun at VBS!” This year’s event will be held June 2 through 6, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. each night. A meet-and-greet and registration is set from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 1.

First Presbyterian Church of Benton

First Presbyterian Church of Benton holds Sunday Fellowship beginning Sunday at 9 a.m. Sunday School follows at 9:30 a.m. and Sunday worship will begin at 10:45 a.m.

Monday Lectio Divina will take place from 7 to

7:30 a.m. each Monday. Each Wednesday, youth will meet at 6 p.m.

Benton Church of the Nazarene

GriefShare Program Offered to the Local Community Saline County members who have experienced the death of a family member or friend are invited to register for the GriefShare program held at Benton Church of the Nazarene. This nondenominational program features Christ-centered, biblical teaching that focuses on grief topics associated with the death of a loved one.

The DVD seminar features nationally respected grief experts and real-life stories of people, followed by a small group discussion about what was seen on the DVD. Many grieving people find they are only beginning the work of healing when friends or family have returned to their daily life routines. Your bereavement experience may be recent or not so recent. You will find encouragement, comfort, and help in grieving the death of a spouse, child, parent, sibling, other family member, or friend. You will learn how to recognize the symptoms of being stuck in grief and that you do not need to live in bondage as a slave to certain emotions. You will learn valuable information about facing your new normal in life and renewing your hope for the future.

GriefShare will be held every Thursday for 13 weeks from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the church, located at 1203 W. Sevier St. in Benton. First session begins April 18 and runs through July 11. Cost is $10 to pay for a workbook. Scholarships are available.

Calvary Baptist Church
